“Faith it till you make it.”
Acts 11: 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning. 16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 Therefore if God gave to them the same gift as He gave to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God’s way?” 18 When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life.”
Father, You give after I believe not before. Faith, substantiated by action comes first, gifts come second and the gifts do not always come immediately on the heels of faith. So I have to “Faith it till I make it.” I must faith it till We make it; for the journey’s purpose is to release Jesus into every situation.
We often think that obedience is completing tasks or accomplishing ministries. Not so, it is the releasing of Jesus to be seen and experienced by those around us.
Our journey is His platform from which He demonstrates His presence and power. Galatians 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Since Jesus is in me and I am in Him, His character and attitude radiates through me in making public the Fruit of the Spirit. If one or more of these are not tangibly present then neither is Jesus. Yes, He is there because He is omnipresent, but He is not there with You. Jesus does not want to, just be there, He wants to be there with you! Wow, how’s that for a bold statement.
