This post is in response to Romans 8 – He spoke volumes to me – this is not a study this is a result of personal connection (conversation).
Father, it appears that the difference in walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit is based on the target destination.
If I make a choice that is based on the flesh it is usually because of the immediate reward. I like the taste, the feeling or relief, the accumulative effect of those decisions are miserable.
When I make the choice based on Spirit it is difficult to do, only in the since that I don’t want to miss out on the immediate pleasure, but the accumulative effect of those decisions are wonderful and fulfilling.
The flesh’s promises are pleasing but their accumulative effect turns to disappointment.
The Spirit’s promises are desirable and their accumulative outcome results in significant fulfillment.
Thank You for reminding me as to my target destination.
