1 Peter

1 Peter 4 (NASB)

Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

As you have therefore received the Lord, so walk in Him. Go ahead and be transformed by the renewing of your Mind and prove that my will is good, acceptable, and perfect. As My will is done in heaven, let it be done on earth. The life that you live in the flesh is My Life – Live it Well. Your choices are your choices, I simply give nudges and create the results I want from what you give me to work with, remember your choices reflect on both of Us.

PS – the response above is not meant to explain the passage it is simply a personal response reflecting His tugging on my heart and mind  through the reading of His Word – may the eyes of your heart and the ears of your mind be ever alert to His Personal Communication to you as He uses His Revelatory Word.

New Life’s Junction

When my body ceases to function

and my tent is laid aside

I’m at my new life’s junction

more alive though I’ve died

my flesh gone, my spirit sores

straight to Him

singing praises which He adores

with arms wide open, I’m ushered in

absent from body present with the Lord

eye to eye, hand in hand as never before

fresh levels of intimacy with the One adored

growing in closeness with Him for evermore

spiritual eyes settling my sight

the person of Jesus I now see

exchanging dimness for His glorious light

abundantly free, I in Christ, and He in me,

A Faith Connection

1 Peter 1:to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Because I am walking by faith in Christ Jesus my Lord, daily, in the same manner of confident faith I received Him. I am being protected by the power of God. This faith responds with confidence that He has all things under His control regardless as to my daily situations and circumstances. He is supplying me with all I need, just as He promised.

Like a glass of water, the glass being my faith, but it is the water that hydrates my body. It is faith that keeps me confidently connected to Christ Jesus, it is He Himself who protects me. My faith is extremely important because it is my connection to Jesus, though it is Jesus Who keeps me; not my faith.

Faith is essential, I must: build it, enhance it, feed it, water it, hoe it, fertilize it, cultivate it, prune it, meditate on it, talk about it, write about it, share it, be passionate about it, absorbed by it, which means that Jesus is my first thought of the day and He is meditated on throughout the day, all the way to the last thought before sleep and then I should even dream of Him.

Jesus is my all in all!

I Do Need …

James 5: J1 Come now … Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord … strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near … 11 You have heard of the endurance of Job …

I am to be boldly faithful to Jesus and His past work, present work, and continuing work.

I don’t need to be boisterous, but I do need to be heard. I don’t need to by pushy, but I do need to be challenging. I don’t need to be hyped, but I do need to be excited. I don’t need to have a following, but I do need to blaze a path. Amen
