Jesus laughs with me, He does not laugh at me. He loves to identify with me and wants me to know that He values my company.
I believe that there are too many of us Christians afraid to align our humor, and our values alongside Jesus’. There are many that would rather conform to the humor and values of the world we live in rather than side with Jesus. When I conform to the flesh or world Jesus does not condemn me, He gently convicts and guides me back to the realization of Who I am In Him.
I know Jesus laughs, I know He has fun and desires me to be filled with JOY. I really believe He tickles my tummy as I did our babies. He buzzes with His finger as He stretches out His hand to watch me smile and hear my laugh.
He paints beautiful pictures in the morning and evening skies for me to ooh and ah over. He sends me the sounds of music on the wings of morning birds and in the evening the chorus of crickets. He shares the warmth of the sun, the refreshing of the rain which sprouts new life and the rotating of the seasons, simply to ignite His hope within me. He delights in the sounds of my laughter and the sparkle in my eyes when I entertain a bit of mischief.
He arranges circumstances to strengthen, encourage, and spur me on in my trust of Him and then proves to me His undeniable faithfulness reminding me that I am a member of His Beloved Bride. He keeps whispering to me and each generation of the assurance, He will return.
The other day I was singing, “Oh how I love Jesus…” and heard, in my spirit, as He responded back, “Oh how I love Terry…”
“Even so come, Lord Jesus”; my eyes search the clouds and my ears are on alert for the trumpet sound.
