Isaiah 3 (NASB)

24 Now it will come about that instead of sweet perfume there will be putrefaction;
Instead of a belt, a rope;
Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp;
Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth;
And branding instead of beauty.
25 Your men will fall by the sword
And your mighty ones in battle.
26 And her gates will lament and mourn,
And deserted she will sit on the ground.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Father, Your have provided for me a life style that is pleasant, enjoyable, relatively safe, filled with stuff, gadgets, homes, conveniences, big boy toys, leisure, income, clothes, food, TV, Radio, I could go on and on listing things You have provided and make a similar list of THINGS I still desire … .

Are You trying to tell me that I have fallen in love with and pursue them more than I love and pursue You? Are You telling me that what I have and want is going to be taken away and all I’ll have left will be ashes?

But You said; Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the DESIRES of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it. Ps. 37

“Yes, I did! I did not say I would give you the desires you want. I said I would place My desires on your heart and you ignore them for the sake of fleshly excitement, pleasure and communal status. Yes, I will strip you of these things. Start now distinguishing the difference between your fleshly desires and My desires and know that I am not talking about evil and holy; I am talking RELATIONAL. You do know the difference, don’t pretend you don’t.”

Isaiah 3 (NASB)

16 Moreover, the Lord said, “Because the daughters of Zion are proud
And walk with heads held high and seductive eyes,
And go along with mincing steps
And tinkle the bangles on their feet,
17 Therefore the Lord will afflict the scalp of the daughters of Zion with scabs,
And the Lord will make their foreheads bare.”

18 In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, headbands, crescent ornaments, 19 dangling earrings, bracelets, veils, 20 headdresses, ankle chains, sashes, perfume boxes, amulets, 21 finger rings, nose rings, 22 festal robes, outer tunics, cloaks, money purses, 23 hand mirrors, undergarments, turbans and veils.

If I pursue life, as the world around presents it, then You, will at some point, afflict or take away what I have gained?

“YES!”

But why? You don’t appear to be doing that with others that I know and observe.

“This isn’t about them; this is about you and Me.”

Isaiah 3 (NASB)

13 The Lord arises to contend,
And stands to judge the people.
14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people,
“It is you who have devoured the vineyard;
The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
15 “What do you mean by crushing My people
And grinding the face of the poor?”
Declares the Lord God of hosts.

<>><><><><><><><><><>

Father, do You have reasons to contend with us today? We Your people surely are not at fault in Your eyes, are we? We are following the leaders, men and women of influence You have established. You know the Pastors, Prophets, Theologians, Professors, Evangelists, Teachers etc.. You know!

“Terry that is one of the problems, you answer more to them than to Me. You rely on them and not Me. You no longer look to My Word and listen for My Spirit to teach, direct or reprove. You no longer trust the faith between you and I, but the faith between you and whoever you think has been appointed over you.”

“Jesus is still Your Shepherd, the Spirit is still your Guide, and I am still in Charge. I have not abdicated.”

So Father, does that mean that I am responsible and accountable to You Personally?

“Well, I am not going to hold your chosen leaders responsible and accountable for your choices – Our relationship is in your court not theirs. Stop making excuses! As the deer pants for the water brooks, So you should pant for Me.”

Isaiah 3 (NASB)

For behold, the Lord God of hosts is going to remove from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support,

12 …O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray
And confuse the direction of your paths.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Father, You have done this on several occasions with Your people, why do we today think that You will not do this again?

As it were in that day, all that was Israel were not Israel, nor were all that were Judah were not Judah, so today all that are ‘church’ attendees are not the Church.

Terry, don’t worry about this! Pant after Me as the deer pants after the water, pursue Me with all your heart, all your mind and all your strength.

Want Me as much as I want you. Pursue Me as I pursued you. We are One, stop questioning it and LIVE it.

Lord Jesus does Your presence in the circumstances and situations of daily life have greater significance when I give You conscious recognition?

I’ll answer this way; “Does it have to be cloudy to rain? Does the water have to moister the ground for the plants to grow? Do you have to put nutrition into your body for it to be healthy? Do you need to recognize My presence to rely on Me? – of course you do silly.”

Isaiah 2 (NASB)

Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob,
Because they are filled with influences from the east,
And they are soothsayers like the Philistines,
And they strike bargains with the children of foreigners.
Their land has also been filled with silver and gold
And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land has also been filled with horses
And there is no end to their chariots.
Their land has also been filled with idols;
They worship the work of their hands,
That which their fingers have made.
So the common man has been humbled
And the man of importance has been abased,
But do not forgive them.
10 Enter the rock and hide in the dust
From the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of His majesty.
11 The proud look of man will be abased
And the loftiness of man will be humbled,
And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Father, lead me to people who are interested in You as a person. I want to fellowship with people who talk about getting to KNOW You rather than those who brag about the STUFF You have provided.

I want to surround myself with those who seek You for You. I am not sure that I know what that looks like or how to define it. But I do know that I am tired of seeking You to gain the stuff of the world – don’t get me wrong – I enjoy the stuff but there has to be more to Our relationship than STUFF.

I want to laugh, cry, chuckle, groan, work, sweat, talk, risk, encourage, exhort, learn, etc. consciously experiencing Your presence and power as We live in partnership.

Well Terry, this is what I want too. So expect it and anticipate it daily. Let Us enjoy each other from the moment you open your eyes and your mind to conscious thought; before swinging your feet off the bed.

Remind yourself, I am also walking on those feet, I am also seeing through those eyes, I am also wanting a clean body to present to those who will be part of Our day. I want to live consciously with you more than you can imagine. Let’s do this TOGETHER!

Isaiah 2 (NASB)

The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

Now it will come about that
In the last days
The mountain of the house of the Lord
Will be established as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills;
And all the nations will stream to it.
And many peoples will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us concerning His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For the law will go forth from Zion
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
And He will judge between the nations,
And will render decisions for many peoples;
And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not lift up sword against nation,
And never again will they learn war.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>><>

It will come about not because I make it come about, but because You are making it come about and You have chosen to involve me in Your doings.

I don’t heal, God heals. I don’t impart spiritual insight, God reveals. So it is in everyday life, I may choose Our path, but You direct Our steps. We walk together!

It is Our fellowship and life together that makes it possible to live the abundant life. You are revealing that the abundant life is Our TOGETHER LIFE not a stuff filled life.

Father I find that this is SO EASY, yet it is the hardest thing for me to do. I think it is because I so often want, to do things my way rather than be in Partnership with You. I know that at times it is because I want stuff over You and when You take stuff away or don’t provide the stuff I want I get upset or sulk. I wrestle with trying to make life all about me, me, and me; or all about You, You, and You; that I forget that it is all about Us, Us, and Us.

I am reminded that when it is time to beat swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks it is I who will do the beating because We are We.

By faith I’ll relax in You – “IT WILL COME ABOUT”, We will live in Oneness, Your plan will be fulfilled.

Thank You for the embracing of Your Oneness and the faith to accept Your invitation.

Isaiah 2 (NASB)

And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,
18 But the idols will completely vanish.
19 Men will go into caves of the rocks
And into holes of the ground
Before the terror of the Lord
And the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble.
20 In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats
Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,
Which they made for themselves to worship,
21 In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs
Before the terror of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble.
22 Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils;
For why should he be esteemed?

Terry, why do men build elaborate or common building and call it ‘church’? Stop giving greater honor to the works of your own hands than you do to Me. You even elevate My messenger than you do Me. My word has become Paul’s word and it no longer reveals Me but culture, and history, that is meant to lay down principles, formulas or regulations when applied properly will make you holy and acceptable.

Where are the people who are holy because of Me? Where are the people who are changed because of Me? Where are the people who are redeemed because of Me? Where are the people who are transformed because of the renewing of their minds by Me. Where are the people who have accepted My Word as My Word? Where are the people who are strong because of Me, rather than the fortitude of their own discipline?

Where are the people who esteem Me and Me alone.

Terry, do you look for the approval of your brothers and sisters in Christ more than My approval? Are you willing to live by faith in Me as I reveal Myself to you through the Written Word – do you trust Me or do you trust the scholar or the theologian? Are you listening for My Voice or their voices?

Terry, there is a difference in listening to ‘man’ and listening to Me – even when that man is only parroting what I have have already said.

Thank You Father, oh that I and my Christian brothers and sisters would wake up to our own individual responsibility in having a PERSONAL DAILY FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU; without a go between.

Isaiah 2 (NASB)

13 And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up,
Against all the oaks of Bashan,
14 Against all the lofty mountains,
Against all the hills that are lifted up,
15 Against every high tower,
Against every fortified wall,
16 Against all the ships of Tarshish
And against all the beautiful craft.
17 The pride of man will be humbled
And the loftiness of men will be abased;

And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,

 <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Father, I tend to look at this world, my flesh, and the demonic and feel overwhelmed. How possibly can I carry on in light of the warfare that is both within (my flesh) me and bombarding me from without (the world, the demonic)?

Terry do not feel overwhelmed, I am in charge of this battle just stick with Me. You will be involved but remember Who your involved with, ME. I’ve got you surrounded they don’t, so give your thinking over to Me.

Romans12: 1 Therefore I urge you (Terry), brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Ephesians 6: 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Romans 8: 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isaiah 2 (NASB)

12 For the Lord of hosts will have a day of reckoning
Against everyone who is proud and lofty
And against everyone who is lifted up,
That he may be abased.

<><><><><><><><>

Father I do not know how to respond. How can I not be proud and lofty when I am the only who seems to think that ‘we’ Your people are guilty of wickedness; of being proud and lofty? How can I not need to be abased?

2 Chronicles 7:13, 14 … if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I am as bad as the rest for I see “they” need to repent and I myself cannot see where I need to repent.

Why do I need to distance myself from the form of fellowship the rest of Your people have chosen to use? Am I in need of reproof?

I feel that I simply need to live out Our relationship without needing to persuade others to follow suit. You are responsible to do the enlightening, I am responsible to respond with an example of living out ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

I am to be ready to give an answer “WHEN ASKED”.   I hear You saying; “Don’t anticipate their need to know, wait to be ASKED.”

“Come Lord Jesus” not that Your not already here but that I might recognize Your presence – open my eyes that I might see, my ears that I might hear, may I see that We are One, hear and live in light of Your presence, promises and power.

Philippians 3:10 10 …that I may know Him (You) and the power of His (Your) resurrection and the fellowship of His (Your) sufferings, being conformed to His (Your) death;… (NASB)

And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land has also been filled with horses
And there is no end to their chariots.
Their land has also been filled with idols;

Oh, My people walk with Me. You have been overly influenced with the enticements of the world and the lies of the demonic. Your flesh rules your thinking and practice. You seek Me not for Me but for the houses you desire, for the cars that fascinate you, for the pleasures of the flesh that cause you to drool. You think of Me as your benefactor and respond to Me as though I am in need of you and My blessings are my rewards to you for doing what I cannot do without you.

You stand in need of a reminder that there is a difference between need and want. I don’t need you, I want to involve you in what I am doing and your response is as though I am incomplete without you.

Not to worry, for the day is coming when you will be humbled, your unrecognized pride will be exposed and We will once again enjoy each other as I have planned. Your efforts will be expression of Our Relationship and the gifts will be known as from the Spirit rather than finely honed abilities of the flesh.

Rather than you reaping worldly gain from those We build up and encourage in their fellowship with Me, your reward will be realized in Our Oneness and you will find that your joy is complete without the addition of worldly gain or fleshly pleasures. My joy will once again be your greatest joy!
