Isaiah 3 (NASB)
13 The Lord arises to contend,
And stands to judge the people.
14 The Lord enters into judgment with the elders and princes of His people,
“It is you who have devoured the vineyard;
The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
15 “What do you mean by crushing My people
And grinding the face of the poor?”
Declares the Lord God of hosts.
Father, do You have reasons to contend with us today? We Your people surely are not at fault in Your eyes, are we? We are following the leaders, men and women of influence You have established. You know the Pastors, Prophets, Theologians, Professors, Evangelists, Teachers etc.. You know!
“Terry that is one of the problems, you answer more to them than to Me. You rely on them and not Me. You no longer look to My Word and listen for My Spirit to teach, direct or reprove. You no longer trust the faith between you and I, but the faith between you and whoever you think has been appointed over you.”
“Jesus is still Your Shepherd, the Spirit is still your Guide, and I am still in Charge. I have not abdicated.”
So Father, does that mean that I am responsible and accountable to You Personally?
“Well, I am not going to hold your chosen leaders responsible and accountable for your choices – Our relationship is in your court not theirs. Stop making excuses! As the deer pants for the water brooks, So you should pant for Me.”
