In the Written Word with the Living Word

Isaiah 7 (NASB)
5 Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying, 6 “Let us go up against Judah and terrorize it, and make for ourselves a breach in its walls and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,” 7 thus says the Lord God: “It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass. 8 For the head of Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is Rezin (now within another 65 years Ephraim will be shattered, so that it is no longer a people), 9 and the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, you surely shall not last.”’”
The Living Bible Isaiah 7:9 You don’t believe me? If you want me to protect you, you must learn to believe what I say.”
Living Bible James 2:20 Fool! When will you ever learn that “believing” is useless without doing what God wants you to? Faith that does not result in good deeds is not real faith.
“Terry, I am not just talking about My Written Word, I am also referring to what I say to you from Our relational intimacy. I speak to you daily, you need to listen AND become involved with Me in what I am wanting Us to be doing together.”
Father, could it be faith is risking action and not just maintaining thought patterns? Faith is not just seeing what is wrong but applying the actions it takes to personally live by faith. So to live by faith is to believe and do. In combining the two, faith and action, does not mean perfection but it does mean the willingness to risk, acknowledge when wrong, apologize when necessary, all the while identifying with Jesus and following His lead. Does this mean Jesus will lead me into a risk that is wrong, of course not, but it does mean that I may not always get it right, but He can count on me to follow His corrective lead. Living in constant identification with Jesus doesn’t mean perfection; it means living by, faith hope and love with the greatest of these being LOVE.
