Thursday 07-28-2017 Galatians 1:10- QT
10 Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.
11 Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin. 12 For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
Could it be that we are expanding the idea of the Gospel beyond Jesus and making the gospel embrace personal preferences beyond Jesus being our central focus of fellowship?
Jesus, what do I do when Your expectations of my personal relationship with You run amuck with what others think?
4 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. (Romans 12)
